- Prince Harry and Meghan Markle got married two years ago today.
- The couple is celebrating in a “low-key” way.
- Their mere existence makes people seethe.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are celebrating their second wedding anniversary today.
According to reports, the couple is spending it in a “low-key” way, mostly by devoting their time to their one-year-old son, Archie.
And because people have nothing better to do than to attack the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, their decision to behave like adults — instead of, say, going to an all-night raver — is invoking a litany of rage from the usual suspects.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Are (Still) Married — Get Over It
We’re all well aware that people hate the fact that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are an item.
There’s no shortage of divorce predictions.
There’s no shortage of articles calling her a social-climbing gold-digger.
And there’s certainly no shortage of pieces detailing all the ways that “Hapless Harry” is getting led astray by his black widow vixen of a wife.
Somehow, these pieces fail to mention that the younger Windsor attended the Royal Military Academy and had a reputation for being hot-tempered and hot-headed.
They fail to mention that the former “Suits” actress was almost universally beloved by everyone she came in contact with.
And these pieces all somehow fail to mention that both the prince and the actress are adults well into their 30s – and nearly pushing their 40s.
They’re not teenagers experiencing “puppy love” for the first time. Prince Harry was involved in a string of high-profile relationships, and Markle was married once before.
So why is it so hard to believe that these two are really happy, in love, and married?
“They’re In A Really Good Place.”
Despite the spittle-filled rage of the naysayers, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are “in a really good place” on their second wedding anniversary.
An insider told Vanity Fair:
They are in a really good place. Speaking up and removing themselves from a toxic situation has enabled them to create a life they’ll be able to flourish in. I think today they’ll be quite reflective. The last year has been pretty epic and all the changes they have lived through and gone through are huge.
As hard as it may be to believe, not everyone craves being in a toxic relationship, whether it comes with a royal title or not.
For Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, their own peace of mind is the best wedding anniversary gift they can give themselves.
